Description:
The Coffee Mill Developmental Ski Team is an all volunteer ski race club that was founded with an aim to develop alpine ski racing children. It is for all children, ages 5 through high school. The only requirement is that the skier can ski intermediate (blue) runs and ride the lift without assistance.
Registration:
Registration opens in September and closes in late December to early January. Please follow this link to register for the team. Cost of registration is $110 per skier (with a family discount of $100 for the second skier and $90 for the third skier). Fees do not include lift tickets or equipment. Registration fee is due at the first practice with checks payable to Coffee Mill Ski Team.
Practices:
All practices are held at Coffee Mill Ski Area. There are two dry land practices held in October and November. On-snow practices will be on Thursdays and Saturdays. Thursday night practices will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Saturday practices are from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, with a lunch break provided some time between noon and 1pm. Please arrive at the ski hill 30 minutes prior to practice, so that all practice time can be utilized on the snow.
Race Schedule:
Our team generally participates in 4 races per season, with one of the races being at Coffee Mill. Parents are expected to volunteer for the home race.
